The founder
I'm Caroline Andriani, founder of Andriani Chocolate.
When I became lactose intolerant, chocolate stopped being a simple pleasure. I had to read every label and decide whether enjoying something I loved was worth the discomfort afterwards.
Dairy free alternatives existed, but they were not what I was looking for. I did not want to replace milk chocolate. I wanted the real taste, richness and creaminess of it, made with cow's milk but crafted without lactose.
When I could not find that choice, I decided to create it.
The name
Why Andriani?
The Andriani name carries a genuine connection to Italy. Italian culture is woven into my life, my home and the way I think about food.
For me, Italian food is about taking good ingredients seriously without making them complicated. It is confident, full of character and made to be enjoyed. That spirit naturally became part of the identity I wanted for Andriani Chocolate.
Our chocolate is made in North Lincolnshire, but its name and character are shaped by that connection to Italy.

The chocolate
Flavour Comes First
Andriani began because of lactose intolerance, but the chocolate should never be defined only by what it does not contain.
Every recipe is created to be chosen for its flavour, texture and quality. Being crafted without lactose opens the door to more people, but exceptional chocolate will always be the reason to come back.
I created the choice I had been searching for. Now I want to share it with everyone who believes chocolate should be enjoyed without compromise.
